Freckles, freckles and more freckles

Been out in the sun a lot and inspite of applying 50+ UVA + UVB + Vitamin E sun care facial cream, freckles are growing like diamonds on my skin.

It's Good To Be Back

After a hectic day packing, tidying and cleaning up, the flight back from England to Spain was uneventful.

There was a note from my friend as follows:
'Dear .....
I have put in the fridge some water, milk, bread and home made chicken
and sweetcorn soup.

Your fish has been fed today and the garden watered.
Love, Isabella'

What a welcome and the soup was a treat as we were too tired to eat out. Thanks mi especial amiga.

..................
Wished my fish and garden good morning.
Have been trying to upload photographs taken during my recent trip from camera to computer without avail.

My Neighbour's Cats

There are two fat cats but I do not know which species they belong to.
In particular, a white cat.
Sometimes I find her in the living room eyeing the fish in the fish tank and I say 'No kitty, that's not your dinner'.
She will escape through the living room.
But oh boy, she is one smart Alec.
She will re-enter the house through the utility room, kitchen, passage way and re-enter the living room.
Should I encounter her at the entrance of the living room, she walks away nonchalantly as if 'tomorrow will be another day'.
I actually have to laugh at her demeanour.
Other times, she escapes when she sees me walking into the room.
Next thing I know she will be pawing at the patio door wishing to get at the fish tank.
Other times, I find her in the garden ... meow meow she says to me and in reply I say 'You are not having my fish for dinner'.
I love eating fish and usually cook for myself but the kitty has stolen many meals from my kitchen while my back was turned.
HBH reminds me to close the utility door or kitchen door before I go to bed but the tendency to forget is great as I enjoy fresh air in the house.
It's to the cats' benefits for they will ransack our dust bin for food.
I am allergic to cats; medically proven, and it irritates my nose uncontrollably, yet I cannot bring myself to be mean to the cats.
What would you do in my position?
Thanks.

What a gorgeous day

Yipppeeeeeeeee, my UK driving licence arrived this morning. Thank God for the many prayers answered.

So happy to receive a call from a friend in India.

Took a bus down to the bus station and a cab to the hospital to pick up my X-ray but it was not meant to be. Had to take another cab back to the bus station after arranging for it to be sent to mi casa instead.

Went to the shop to collect my handbag. Was shocked when the proprietor told me it was free of charge. I advised it was unacceptable as she had to order a new part and labour cost involved. Very happily she said albeit I had made many fruitless trips but I had never complained or rude to her or her staff when the part did not arrive as promised. In appreciation for being a polite and good customer and making her day, she was prepared to absorb her losses. I reciprocated by donating some cash in a charity box in her shop.

Walked into the Chinese grocery shop again and beseeched them to order the chicken feet. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed on that.

Thanked God many times today for the many blessings.

Musing

Was so excited yesterday when I chanced upon tuo chai. I am not sure of the name in English.
Shall take a foto later. Chatted with the owner of a small chinese grocery shop yesterday and asked her where can I buy fish head to cook with it. Hehehehehehehehe, so excited leh, today is Gourmet Thursday and hopefully I am able to buy some.

Am feeling sad thinking about it as mum absolutely love fish in any form. It would be so wonderful if we can enjoy it together.

Moi needs to venture out now and kekekekekekekekeke, fish head fish head here I come.

Have a safe and wonderful day everyone.

What's cooking?

After spending three quality days living in the countryside with family members I am now back home.
I am going to cook vegetarian this evening but have not made up my mind whether
it's going to be roast vegetables or vegetable soup.
Shall decide within the next few hours.

Just called my friend in Spain to wish her happy birthday but unfortunately she was out.

I am feeling lazy as it's bitterly cold outside. Just did my laundry and feeling peckish too. What should I eat?

Out and About

Today is another cold and miserable day. Gosh, it's drizzling now.
Phew, saw the bus when I turned the corner but then the driver recognised me thus he waited. Kum sia kum sia.
The ride was uneventful.
Took another bus service to another town, venturing out in advance to locate where is the hospital as I have an appointment to see the consultant next month.
That in itself is a separate story. I have to write to the Forum, STI, but not sure whether will they print the letter online.
Oh Lord, please calm my heart for the page on the computer keeps jumping .....

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Here I am, about to step out, bracing for the cold. Snug as a bug in a rug aka humpty dumpty. :))
Hope your day is better. Cheers

My first Post

Morning folks and greetings from cold England.
Very excited, for here I am, trying to have a proper blog.
A blog was created about two years ago but I am not able to recall
the name nor password.:((
Hmmmm, why am I such a dudette with computers? Tried uploading
photos of a dish but it did not appear in sequence.
Gonna take a walk to have some fresh air. Hopefully by then, there is
a quick solution to my problem.
Have a safe and wonderful day.
Cheers
